What’s happening

Works to demolish 467 South Road, Keswick need to be undertaken at night.

This work will start from Thursday 3 October and take approximately three nights to complete. Hours of work are between 8pm and 6am.

We will be contacting properties adjacent to the demolition activities to share more specific information about the timing of the activities prior to works starting.

How we manage safety

To ensure the safety of the community and workers, an asbestos and hazard assessment has been completed prior to demolition and any identified hazards have been removed.

What to expect

During these works there may be pedestrian, traffic and parking restrictions and you may notice additional site workers and equipment. Please also be aware of additional truck and large vehicle movements within the area.

Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works. Signage will be in place to alert road users to the change in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.

Plan ahead, allow extra travel time and take extra care when workers are on site. Some disturbances can be expected as noise, dust and vibration associated with demolition and removal of structural elements, supporting foundations and hardstand areas.
