Selgar Avenue link

The Selgar Avenue Link Project has delivered a new link road for motorists and residents at Selgar Avenue to link with the Tonsley precinct.

As part of the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project there will be $850 million worth of additional network and amenity upgrades along and around the final 10.5km section of South Road. These works are essential to the proper functioning of the motorway and wider road network both during and after construction of the T2D Project.

Project update: open to traffic

The new two-way Selgar Avenue link road is now open to traffic.

The new Selgar Avenue link road allows vehicles to make a right turn onto South Road from Selgar Avenue via MAB Circuit and the Tonsley Boulevard intersection.

It also provides another entry point into the Tonsley area from South Road, in addition to the existing Tonsley Boulevard intersection.

The new link road provides additional capacity for city-bound traffic and will improve local cycle and pedestrian connectivity.

The project was jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian governments.

The site offices and laydown areas that have been in use during construction will be demobilised over the coming weeks.
