The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is the final 10.5 km section of South Australia’s North-South Corridor. In the coming weeks we will be undertaking ground investigations in your area as part of the early works for the next stage of the project. This will help us to develop a comprehensive picture of the underlying soil and ground water conditions along the South Road corridor.

Location and timing

We will be carrying out investigations in the parking area of 290 South Road, Hilton.

Site 1 works are expected to begin the week commencing Monday 19 June for approximately 4 days.
Site 2 works will begin after Site 1 works are completed, for approximately 2 days.
Investigations and will be carried out between 7am and 6pm.
In the event that these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will update this notification.

Traffic restrictions

  • Access to the parking lot will be closed at Bennett Street for the duration of the works.
  • Temporary traffic restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Local access will be maintained.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.

What to expect

During works you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration.
