Utility Services Investigation Works - Marleston, Ashford and Kurralta Park
Over the next months, we will be undertaking direct investigations of utility services South Road between Sir Donald Bradman Drive and Cross Road and surrounding side streets along the Torrens to Darlington Project alignment to help inform the final design.
Location and timing
From Monday, 1 May through to mid-July 2023, we will be carrying out investigations along South Road, Richmond Road, and at the following locations:
Marleston | Ashford | Kurralta Park |
George Street | Everard Avenue | Garfield Avenue |
Tennyson Street | Marleston Avenue | Basnett Street |
Stirling Street | Alexander Avenue | Anzac Highway |
Barwell Avenue | Herbert Street | |
Hare Street | Tyson Street |
Day works will occur on side streets between 7am and 6pm and night works are scheduled for Sunday to Thursday between 7pm and 6am on South Road. We’re working at night to minimise impacts on traffic and to ensure the safety of our workers. In the event these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will update this notification.
Traffic restrictions
- Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
- Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.
- Short-term lane and footpath closures will be required to complete this work.
What to expect
During works, you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration caused by excavation works.
