  • Broader Network Upgrades project: Manton Street and Adam Street intersection upgrade

What's happening

Works to realign the intersection of Manton Street and Adam Street, including asphalting and pavement rehabilitation works, and the installation of new traffic lights, will be undertaken between Sunday 15 September and Monday 23 September 2024, weather permitting.

No works will be undertaken at night on Thursday 19 September 2024, due to the netball game at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

How this affects you

To keep everyone safe, the junction of Manton Street and Adam Street will be temporarily closed at night while works are undertaken. Detours will be in place. Please refer to the map below for detour details.

Observe speed limits, detour signage, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.

Please plan ahead and expect some delays.

Outside of working hours, speed restrictions will remain in place.

One additional temporary closure will be required as part of the project. We will let you know in advance of this occurring.

Some noise disturbance can be expected at times while these works are completed; however, the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to nearby residents and businesses as much as practically possible.

Access to Adelaide Entertainment Centre and local businesses will be maintained at all times.

Temporary bus stop closures on Manton Street will be required during these times with bus services redirected to Port Road. Details about these temporary changes will also be provided at bus stops and on the Adelaide Metro website www.adelaidemetro.com.au.
