What’s happening

Resurfacing works along South Road between James Congdon Drive, Mile End and Ashwin Parade, West Thebarton are ongoing and expected to be completed in late July 2024. Finishing works, including the second coat of line marking will follow and is expected to be undertaken late August 2024 to early September 2024, weather permitting.

How this affects you

To safely undertake these works, short-term speed and lane restrictions will remain in place. Adjacent streets may have short-term local detours as works progress. Please follow onsite traffic signage and follow the direction of traffic controllers while works are in progress.

Outside of work hours, South Road will be fully open to traffic with speed restrictions in place. Pedestrians and cyclists might also need to use a different path during the works; however, signs will show you where to go. Some properties on South Road will have some short-term restricted access. Affected property owners, residents and businesses will be contacted directly in advance. Traffic controllers will be on site to assist with access.

Some noise disruptions can be expected while works are completed, but we'll  do  our  best to keep the noise to a minimum.  Bus stops in the area may be affected for a short time.  Please pay attention to signs at the bus stops and check the latest updates at  adelaidemetro.com.au for more information.
