Site establishment activities

The Manton Street and Adam Street junction upgrade will provide additional capacity for citybound traffic by adding an additional left turn lane from Manton Street into Adam Street (eastbound). It will also improve public transport efficiency, pedestrian and cyclist safety, and access to the River Torrens Linear Path.

What's happening

Ahead of construction commencing next month, we will shortly be establishing our onsite compound within the Adelaide Entertainment Centre grounds.

Site surveys and service location works will also be undertaken within the project area during this time. To allow us to deliver the works, the removal of some minor vegetation is also required. Every effort has been made to minimise the impact to vegetation wherever possible.

To minimise disruption to all road users, the majority of this work will be undertaken at night. No night works will be undertaken Saturday nights. Friday night works may be required intermittently.

How this affects you

These works will be undertaken from Monday 1 July until mid July 2024, weather permitting.

To help keep everyone safe we will have intermittent, short term speed restrictions in place around the work areas during working hours.

Some noise disturbance can be expected at times while these works are completed; however, the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to nearby residents and businesses as much as practically possible.

Access to businesses and properties will be maintained however if there is a need for short term access impacts we will contact you directly.

We look forward to sharing more information about construction activities in the coming weeks.

We thank you for your patience during these important works.
