Location and timing

We will be carrying out investigations at South Road, Mile End South.
Investigations works are expected to begin Thursday 6 July for approximately 2 nights and will be carried out between 7pm and 6am. In the event that these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will update this notification.

Traffic restrictions

  • No right-turn will be permitted from South Road onto James Congdon Drive for the duration of the works.
  • Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Local access will be maintained via a detour to Sir Donald Bradman Drive.
  • Access to Manchester Street will be maintained.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.
  • Driveway access at locations adjacent to the works will be maintained for the duration.

During works you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration.
