Over the next few months, we will be undertaking direct investigations of utility services on various main roads
and side streets along the Torrens to Darlington Project alignment to help inform the final design.

Location and timing
From Tuesday, 14 March through to late-May 2023, we will be carrying out investigations at the following locations
between Grange Road, Allenby Gardens and Ashley Street, Torrensville. We only expect to be at each location for a short
period of time.

  • South Road between Grange Road, Allenby Gardens and Ashley Street, Torrensville
    Gawler Avenue, Hindmarsh Avenue and Torrens Avenue, West Hindmarsh between South Road and Jervois
    Avenue
  • Susan Street, and Adam Street, West Hindmarsh at the approaches to the intersections with South Road
  • Ashwin Parade, West Thebarton Road and Bennett Street, Thebarton at the approaches to the intersection with
    South Road

To ensure works can be completed as efficiently as possible and to minimise impacts on traffic, works will be carried out
Sunday to Thursday between 7pm and 6am. We’re working at night to minimise impacts on traffic and to ensure the
safety of our workers. In the event these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances
outside of our control, we will update this notification.

Additional utility service investigation works are required in other areas along South Road. You will receive notifications
relating to these works closer to the date.

Traffic restrictions

  • Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care
    when travelling through the area.
  • Short-term lane and footpath closures will be required to complete this work.

What to expect
During works, you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some
disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration caused by excavation works.
