Location and timing

Resurfacing works on South Road between Rothesay Avenue and Lloyd Street Saint Marys are nearing completion. Finishing works, including the second coat of line marking and service cover replacement/adjustments are now required and are expected to be complete in late January 2024 (weather permitting). These finishing works are expected to be undertaken at night, Sunday to Friday, between 6pm and 7am.

Traffic impacts

Short-term road and footpath closures in your area will occur as part of these works. Detours, signage and traffic controllers will be in place to manage traffic flow and ensure motorists, cyclists and pedestrians can safely navigate around our work areas.
Some properties on South Road will have some short-term restricted access. The project team will contact affected property owners, residents and businesses directly in advance. Traffic controllers will be on site to assist with access.

What to expect

Some noise disturbances can be expected at times while these works are completed, however, the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to nearby residents as much as practically possible. This includes scheduling intrusive works in the early evening where possible.
Pedestrians and cyclists should take care when travelling through the area. For safety reasons there may be some restricted access. Signage will be in place to direct pedestrians and cyclists to alternative access and/or detours where required.
Some Adelaide Metro bus stops and services, within the project area, may be temporarily impacted while work is underway, please observe bus stop signage and visit adelaidemetro.com.au for the latest information.

No works will be undertaken between Friday, 22 December 2023 and Sunday, 7 January 2024.
