Location and timing

We will be carrying out night works investigations at Manchester Street, Mile End South. Investigation works are expected to being the week commencing Monday 7 August for approximately 2-4 hours and Wednesday 9 August for approximately 1 hour. The works will be carried out between 6pm and 12am. In the event that these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will advise you as soon as we have details.

Traffic restrictions

  • Manchester Street will be closed at the corner of South Road.
  • Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Local access will be maintained via Birmingham Street or Railway Terrace.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.
  • Driveway access at locations adjacent to the works will be maintained for the duration.

What to expect

During works you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration.
