We’re committed to working with the South Australian community throughout the life of the project and leaving a positive legacy. Our goal is to minimise impacts to the local community while maximising opportunities for South Australians by creating partnerships, connecting communities and enhancing local neighbourhoods.
We will be delivering several community support programs during the project for local residents. Register for regular updates to find out when these programs are available.
Community Reference Groups (CRGs) provide forums for local community and stakeholder engagement during construction by:
establishing an effective forum for consultation and information-sharing
enabling two-way conversations with the community
encouraging a broad range of representatives to participate in delivery of the project
providing a local perspective on the project, particularly in relation to local issues
assisting with resolving community concerns where possible.
As we transition into the construction stage of the project, we are reshaping the approach to CRGs on the project and establishing three local Community Reference Groups (south, central and north) that are focused on construction activities in the local area. This is one of many ways people can learn more about what's planned and share local insights.
Expressions of Interest to be part of a construction CRG will open in early 2025, with community being notified of this via project updates.
Thank you to all members of the existing CRG who provided hugely valuable insights throughout the planning stages of the project.
